HTC Touch HD Orbit Flex Multidapt Case by Krusell Review

July 29th, 2009 | Category: HTC, Krusell, Leather Cases

cam_1267 Style: 9

Overall the design of this case is simple and accessible. It is attractive and has features for any type of customer. I do think there could have been a bottom rail, however.

Protection: 9

The device will be protected through the leather, however the bottom of the device has been left exposed and the top flap has potential to shift a bit, exposing portions of the screen.

Functionality: 10

I do think this case is perfect for functionality, especially due to the removable lid and cut-outs in the leather for the device’s functions.

Overall: 9

This Krusell case has a lot to offer through its protective design, access to basic functions, removable top flap, and additional Multidapt swivelkit.

Noreve Apple iPhone 3G Tradition C Leather Case Review

July 29th, 2009 | Category: Apple, Leather Cases, Noreve, Pouches

noreve_apple_iphone_3g-68 Style: 10

As a pouch, there isn’t much more you can expect. The Noreve design protects against outside harm and the style is classy.

Protection: 10

There are hardly any openings in the leather and because of that I think this Noreve pouch has succeeded in what it has set out to do: protect the iPhone to its fullest abilities. The fantastic suede leather and padding protects from scratches and harm and is hard enough that it really will protect the device.

Functionality: 7

There is nothing about this pouch that communicates functionality. You’ll be able to recharge your phone, and that’s about it. But the point is to protect, not function, so keep that in mind.

Overall: 8.5

I do like this case, but I have a hard time with my inability to access basic functions of the iPhone. I’m glad the case offers protection, but I’d like a little more. That said, this pouch is high quality and Noreve’s luxury leather suggests sophistication beyond most competitors.

Review of GALAXY Pouch for BlackBerry Pearl 8100/Pearl Flip 8200 by Krusell

July 29th, 2009 | Category: Blackberry, Krusell, Pouches

cam_1341 Style: 8

The design and style of this case is nice, but not necessarily outstanding by any means. In terms of customer satisfaction with the style, it may only fulfill a certain demographic’s interest in terms of the bulky Krusell logo, the multidapt belt clip, and the styling of the stitching. Everything is crafted well, just may not be what everyone is looking for.

Protection: 6.5

I’m very unimpressed with the lack of protection Krusell has offered for the BlackBerry. Though the parts of the device which are covered are protected by durable leather, there is a great deal of the device which is left completely exposed and vulnerable to outside harm. If protection is what you’re going for, this isn’t the case for you! That said, if your only interest in this case is to use it while on your belt clip for easy access to your BlackBerry, you shouldn’t worry too much about harm. The top portion of the device is fairly exposed on its sides, however.

Functionality: 4

I’m having a hard time actually rating the functionality of this case because it is simply a pouch rather than a case, and the BlackBerry will by no means be able to function while in the pouch. It merely acts as a holder for the device. On the “up” side, the BlackBerry is easily accessible due to the design of the case and the simple magnet which opens and closes very easily.

Overall: 6.5

With some of the other leather pouches I’ve reviewed I’ve given higher scores. Reason being, their high-quality leather, accessibility, and style/design have proven elegant and attractive for any type of customer. I would like to point out, however, that this Krusell pouch is considerably less expensive than the other pouches I’ve reviewed and is definitely competitive with other pouches in the same price range.

Review of the Fortte Leather Case for BlackBerry Curve Javelin 8900

July 29th, 2009 | Category: Blackberry, Fortte, Leather Cases

cam_1648 Style: 8.5

It’s not the most attractive case I’ve ever seen, nor the classiest, but it’s still nice-looking and accessible to most functions.

Protection: 9

Assuming the top flap remains attached, this Fortte case is very protective. There are openings in leather, but it’s only the two bottom openings I’m a bit worried about in terms of device exposure.

Functionality: 9

Though the USB cable is covered by the leather while in the case, every other function is accessible while inside the case. This includes volume control, power button and speakers, headphone cord, and camera lens.

Overall: 9

It’s a fine case; I’m not blown out of the water, as there are some functions of the case which I’d do without (the bulky metal stud for the belt clip, the extra bulk with each strap button, etc.), but otherwise the case is function-accessible, protective, and durable.

ELASTIC for BlackBerry Pearl 8220 by Krusell Reviewed

July 29th, 2009 | Category: Blackberry, Krusell, Leather Cases

cam_1376 Style: 8

It’s not terrible-looking, but it’s also not extremely attractive. It’s got somewhat of a cool look and will probably catch the attention of a fair amount of customers. The plastic makes it look a bit tacky, but it is protective so I’m happy with it.

Protection: 7.5

I am concerned with the amount of device exposure there is, however if you take good care of your device this case’s protection will be just fine. The leather is durable, and the plastic is sufficient.

Functionality: 10

As far as I can tell, every function is completely accessible. This Krusell case doesn’t hinder any accessibility.

Overall: 8.5

I would recommend this case, especially due to its qualities despite being inexpensive. The leather is durable and protects against scratches, the elastic is strong, the plastic is adequate, and the stitching is tight. I have a few qualms as far as protection goes, but otherwise this Krusell case is a great deal for all that it offers.

Noreve Apple iPhone 3G Tradition B Leather Case Review

July 29th, 2009 | Category: Apple, Leather Cases, Noreve

noreve_apple_iphone_3g-47 Style: 9

I find the style to be classy and thought-out, fitting the iPhone perfectly. Though there is no protection for the screen, the high-quality of the leather protects the rest of the device and portrays a suede elegance.

Protection: 7.5

I feel like I must take off points for the fact that the screen is completely exposed. Otherwise every other portion of the device is protected sufficiently while still allowing access to all basic functions of the iPhone.

Functionality: 10

There is access to all of the basic functions, including cut-outs in the leather for the camera lens, headphone set, charger, speaker, proximity sensors, and volume control. Everything on this Noreve case can be accessed very easily.

Overall: 8.5

I would highly recommend this case to someone interested in accessing the screen easily, as well as all basic functions. This case is simple and direct, there are no obstructions to accessing functions, and the quality of the leather provides elegance and a slim look. It’s a beautiful case; definitely recommended.

Review of the Fortte Leather PDA Case Vertical Pouch for Palm Pre

July 29th, 2009 | Category: Fortte, Leather Cases, Pouches

cam_1677 Style: 8

It’s nice-looking, but not perfect for every type of customer. The pouch offer security on a belt clip for day-to-day use but is not one geared toward functionality.

Protection: 8.5

This pouch is protective for the most part, but the tops and sides of the device is exposed and therefore not as protected as perhaps other competing cases. This exposure is to allow for accessibility but instead compromises its security.

Functionality: 7

Since this Fortte case is a pouch, it is not meant to allow for complete functionality. It is easily accessible in terms of removing the device from the case, as well as allowing for continual use on a belt, but is otherwise limited in its ability to function while inside the pouch.

Overall: 8

This is a fine pouch; the quality is on the higher-end with its premium full grain leather, but it doesn’t prove to be the most secure or offer any functionality. That said, it does the job of most pouches and should keep many customers satisfied.

Review of the Proporta Dual Skin Silicone Case for the Apple iPhone 3G

July 24th, 2009 | Category: Apple, Proporta, Skin case

CAM_1692 Style: 9

Though it’s not as elegant as some other cases you’ll see here on CaseScoop, this silicone skin is attractive and has a way of making the iPhone itself look even better. The side grips even add a sporty, more interesting look.

Protection: 8.5

Everything besides the touchscreen is protected by the double layered silicone. A simple answer is to also purchase a Proporta screen protector. That way every aspect of the device will be accounted for and protected with the utmost care at an affordable cost.

Functionality: 10

I’m not lying when I say you’ll have complete access to all basic functions of the iPhone 3G. Take a look at the pictures; everything is accounted for.

Conclusion: 9

I am a big fan of this silicone skin. It’s attractive, protective, and completely function-accessible while still affordable. I’m sure not every customer out there will be a fan, but I definitely recommend it to those interested in a skin for the iPhone 3G.
