I recently reviewed a few different products with belt clips that were limited, hard to attach to the case, or just not sturdy enough. Then I got to thinking about which belt clip had been my favorite in the past. The answer is fairly simple: The Noreve Metal Belt Clip. I’ll give you a few quick reasons why it has been a favorite of mine:

1) The clip is extremely slim, and hangs close to the body when worn.

They responded with some questions frequently asked about the clip. Noreve then shipped a metal belt clip so that I could answer these questions. They are as follows…

3. Is it bulky?

This belt clip is extremely sturdy due to its steel make, and it’s surprisingly slim. The metal itself is thin as well as the entire clip, as it is compact while still offering reliability. The clip hangs close to the body because of the slim metal, and it does not flop around like many cheap belt clips.

4. How does it work?

Upon ordering the metal belt clip, Noreve will send all the necessary components to screw the clip into the case. This includes a mini Noreve screwdriver, a tab, and a screw. To screw the belt clip into the case, you’ll first unscrew the original “Noreve St. Tropez” screw from the case using the mini screwdriver you’ve received with your metal belt clip. Then, you’ll place the tab into the back of the case to replace the original screw, aligning the two notches from the tab into the back of the case to help position it correctly. Finally, you’ll place the screw into the center of the tab so that it fits loosely in place. Then you’ll tightly screw the tab and screw into place using the mini screwdriver. Once the tab has been screwed in securely, slide the belt clip into the case horizontally (side to side, with the metal embossed Noreve logo upside down). Then rotate the belt clip to a vertical position where the clip with remain in place against the case. You may carry the case either vertically or horizontally. To remove the clip, simply reverse the rotation of the clip back to the original horizontal position, and remove.

5. Can the phone fall off the clip?

The phone can only fall off if the case has been rotated in such a manner where it has been placed horizontally in the same manner it has been first attached. For example, the case can remain in place both vertically and horizontally. But when horizontal, it will only remain horizontal if placed opposite from its first attachment. As confusing as it seems, it’s quite simple. Say you have Horizontal A, Horizontal B, Vertical A, and Vertical B (which is 360˚ rotation); when you first attach the case to the clip, you must do so horizontally, as mentioned above. So, you’ll attach the phone in a Horizontal A position. To keep the case in place with the clip, you may rotate the case to a Vertical A position, Horizontal B, and Vertical B position; meaning the case can sit vertically (right side up or upside down), and horizontally, opposite from how the case is first attached. Reason being, Horizontal A is the only position in which you’re able to remove the case from the belt clip.

6. Does the clip lock in place?

It locks into place through rotation of the case to sit either horizontally or vertically. There isn’t an obvious ‘snap’ or ‘lock’ into place, but you’ll be able to tell immediately if the case is in a position in which it is secure. Technically, it should be secure in any position other than the one in which it was first attached.

7. Aesthetically, can it be worn for business or play?

The nice thing about this Noreve metal belt clip is the fact that it is classy regardless of what you’re doing. There’s no question that this belt clip can be worn for business, as the metal offers a sexy yet elegant business feel. However it can easily be worn for any other occasion. It offers durability to be able to remain active without having to worry about the safety of your case. When wearing the metal belt clip with the case, you’ll only be able to see the top portion of the metal because the rest of the clip hugs the case, so regardless of the occasion, you’ll be wearing your case with style and elegance. If you’d like to dress down for the occasion, you may switch your belt clip with the plastic belt clip that Noreve also offers which automatically comes with every case. The plastic belt clip is durable enough, but if it’s sturdiness you want, the metal belt clip will absolutely be the best bet.

8. Will the clip fit the needs and looks for business, everyday use, sports, and teens?

The metal belt clip can be worn during any/most occasions. It can absolutely be worn for business use, as well as everyday use. If you’re active and interested in wearing a belt clip while you play sports or work out, the metal belt clip would be fine to wear, though keep in mind that it is 1.4oz. so it does add a bit of weight to your belt or pants. In terms of specific age demographics that this metal belt clip may be geared toward, it is seemingly best suited for a young to middle-aged male. That said, this is an attractive and elegant clip for anyone, regardless of age. Teens shouldn’t have trouble wearing this case in terms of style, as only a small portion of the metal is actually seen. Same goes for anyone older. This includes senior citizens. Though this belt clip is elegant, it is primarily durable and simple to use. There’s no question that anyone of whatever demographic can get a great deal of use from it.

9. Is the clip more masculine, feminine, or unisex? (If the clip can be worn by women, explain how)

The clip is not limited to one gender. Though many would probably tag this clip as a male-driven creation upon first glance, it most certainly is not the case. As previously stated, onlookers will only be able to see a small portion of the metal belt clip. This clip was created to hang close to the consumer and offer reliability and durability. Though it is stylish, it is not limited to elegance of one particular gender. Women can easily wear this belt clip without second glance from observers. An example of such has been proven in the attached pictures. That said, it is absolutely up to the preference of the individual shopper.
